Curtain up on Sanjana’s new venture

MUMBAI: In November 2011, Sanjana Kapoor and Sameera Iyengar left Prithvi Theatre to start their new venture, ‘Junoon’.
On Wednesday, Kapoor, Iyengar and associates announced their plans for the new project at Horniman Circle garden, a place where Prithvi often holds free performances. The idea behind Junoon, Kapoor says, is to create platforms that make theatre more accessible to audiences.Junoon will organize theatre workshops and plays for children.
Kapoor wants to revive existing performance venues such as Bhavan’s at Chowpatty and help those who want to set up theatres.
